That didn't take nearly as long as police were saying it would: Three people who were taken in as "persons of interest" earlier today in the string of car arsons have been arrested:
The Metro Arson Task Force said it is accusing Denis Panichello, 27; Lena Thi Son, 19; and a minor of various charges, including arson in the first degree, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 90 months if convicted.
Their arrest follows another car fire this morning. If investigators determine it was intentionally set, it would bring the total number of intentionally burned vehicles to eight in three days.
The last car was at NE 35th and Schuylar, so they may have been planning on branching out from SE. I'm dying to see the mugshots of the "adults," not to mention the rationale. I would imagine it's some variation on "sticking it to the Man."
Or maybe it just really made them giggle.
